GSA Connects 2026
At the GSA Connects 2026 conference, Jordan Gilbert presented an analysis of the total extent of riverscapes across the contiguous United States (CONUS) based on data produced using the riverscapes network models. The talk was presented in a session titled "Riverscapes in transition: Advances in fluvial geomorphology, sediment transport, deposition, river health, and urban rivers, Part 1." The presentation highlighted how much of the landscape across CONUS is made up of riverscapes, and how that varies by physiographic regions. It also highlighted where fragementation of riverscapes by transportation infrastructure and anthropogenic land use has occurred across the landscape.
